Creating a new event

Learn how to create a new calendar event.

Welcome to our Event Creation guide, whether you're scheduling a meeting, planning a participant review, or just trying to remember when to take your coffee break, we've got you covered. Let's walk through the simple steps to create a new event.

Accessing the Calendar

First things first, you'll need to get to the Calendar page. It's as easy as pie:

1. Click on the Calendar menu item in the main sidebar menu. This will whisk you away to the Calendar page.

Creating the Event

Now that you're on the Calendar page, it's time to create your event. Here's how:

1. Click on the Create Event button. This magical button will open up the event creation modal, where all the fun happens.

2. Fill in the event details. You'll see form fields for the required information. Here's what you'll need to do:

  • Event Title: Give your event a snazzy name.

  • Date: Choose the date for your event. (No time machines allowed, so make sure it's in the future!)

  • Start and Finish Times: Set the start and finish times. This ensures you don't double-book yourself.

  • Assign to Calendar: Select the calendar from the dropdown of available calendars. If you’ve got multiple calendars, make sure you pick the right one!

  • Description: Add a brief description. This can be anything from "Team Meeting" to "Discuss the meaning of life."

3. Hit the Create Event button. Once you've filled in all the details, give that button a click, and voilà! Your event is now live.

Two-Way Sync

If your event was assigned to a calendar from a third-party application (like Google Calendar or Outlook Calendar), it will be created on the respective app in real-time. That’s right, folks - two-way sync means your event will magically appear in both Coordinoter and your third-party calendar. No more double entries!

And there you have it! Creating a new event in Coordinoter is as easy as a Sunday morning. Now go forth and schedule to your heart’s content. Remember, a well-organised calendar is the key to stress-free support coordination. Enjoy!
