NDIS plans tab

Learn how to use the NDIS plans tab.

Alright, let's dive into the NDIS Plans tab of the Participant Management Interface. This tab is your go-to spot for viewing and editing the participant’s current NDIS Plan details. Here’s a breakdown of what you’ll find and how to navigate it:

Main Information Up Top

Dates: Right at the top, you’ll see the start and review dates of the current plan. Pretty straightforward, right?

About Section: This is where you can add a bio to the plan. You have two options here: either write your own bio or use the about section from the plan itself. Flexibility is the name of the game!

Report Dates

Reporting Dates: Click on this dropdown to reveal the expected due dates for the initial report and the mid-term report. These dates are synced with the participant notifications system, so you’ll get smart alerts when these reports are due. No more missed deadlines!

Participant Goals

Goals: Here, you can add multiple participant goals taken from the current NDIS Plan. Just hit the Add Another Goal button to keep adding as many goals as needed. Easy peasy!

Funded Supports

Support Coordination Funding Section: This is a crucial section. You can define a default charge item for the participant and add the total amount of Support Coordination funding available. Also, specify the management type - whether the participant is self-managed, plan-managed, or agency-managed. This is essential for getting paid for your services. If the participant is self or plan managed, make sure to fill in the respective data in the Billing tab , see;

Core, Capacity, and Capital Funding Items: Under the support coordination funding section, you’ll find sections for each of these categories. Click the add buttons to include funded supports in each category. This helps you keep a comprehensive overview of the current plan.

Uploads

Plan Uploads: Note that plan uploads are separate from participant uploads. For example, a participant upload might be a risk assessment for their residence, whereas a plan upload could be the specific plan itself or related reports. This keeps everything organised and easy to find.

Settings Button (Top Right)

Clicking this button opens a menu with options to:

  • Archive the Current Plan: This wipes the plan-specific data from the participant interface, allowing you to add new plan data. Do this when a new plan is issued after a review.

  • Export Previous Plans: Handy for keeping records or sharing with relevant stakeholders.

Update

Don’t forget to hit the Update button to save any changes you make. It’s the big purple button you can’t miss!

And there you have it! The NDIS Plans tab is your one-stop shop for managing all the intricate details of a participant’s NDIS Plan. Keep everything up-to-date, and you’ll be sailing smoothly.
